Straight replacement for the standard bulb.
Advantages: If the bulb lasts as long as claimed then they will be a great advantage, They are in use for 12hrs a day so ordinary bulbs seem to burn out in less than 12-18 months.
Disadvantages: Expensive, but apart from that none so far.

I brought these fro replacement reversing light bulbs on my MK 4 VW Golf GTI,
They took a week for the post office to deliver them ( I had to chase them, the PO about delivery). The bulbs work OK and only time will tel over the longevity.
