Nearly all modern cars in the UK use a system that continuously detects faults – This system is known as CANBus.
Built In CANBus LED Technology
Twenty20 LED bulbs are developed with CANBus technology enabled which means that those frustrating warning lights that annoy and distract you can be eliminated.
CANBus errors typically occur when your car thinks it has a faulty bulb, usually due to the LED bulb drawing less power than a standard halogen bulb.

"ice blue" should be renamed "blue" I originally bought "ice blue" to match the cool white of my HIDS but they are very definitely blue and not icy! Replaced with "white".

I made the mistake of buying cheap 501's off Ebay.
Some flickered from the start whilst the rest died after a few months.
Just holding these side by side with the cheap ones there is a noticeable difference in quality.
They're also much brighter and crisper.
Advantages: Good quality. Should last.
Disadvantages: Seemed a little tight fitting on number plate fittings (probably just my car. Still work) but fine everywhere else around the car.

I used these to replace the dim sidelights on my car. They are much, much brighter and make the car easier to see, which is what I was looking for. I was pleased with the speed of delivery and also the customer service from ABD.
Advantages: Compact, so will easily fit where you have existing 501 incandescent bulbs. Bright so more noticeable or better performance.

Nice upgrade for Porsche Boxster 987 side lights.
Advantages: Much brighter than standard bulbs which are less than pathetic. So far no canbus errors. Good fit to the original holders, no need for any filling or forcing of the LED board.
Disadvantages: Don’t know yet. Little used so I can’t comment on lifespan or if the canbus error will appear.

I bought two pairs for mine and my daughters Volvo V70 rear number plates. Noticed that one car had heat damaged socket that I had to repair. These new LED's are not at all hot and are so much brighter than the standard bulbs. Very pleased and looking forward to extended life from them.

I have ordered led bulbs for my Classic Citroen DS dashboard lighting. However I think the design of the original type bulb holder allows the led bulb to short circuit itself - the original contacts are simple pressings, so I will have to look at some way of modifying the holders. It is OK with filament type of bulb. May have to solder them to the holder.
Advantages: I ordered led bulbs as filament bulbs char the coloured warning lenses over time with the heat. Leds run cool.

Canbus does not work on Mercedes E class. Still got error message on dash and light was turning on and off. Tried using the bulbs with a resistor but it is too thin and was loose enough to fall out of the socket.

I purchased the white and amber versions to fit in the front headlights of my Volvo C70. The fit may have been a little more tight than the OEM bulbs but at least they won't be falling out as soon as a bump is hit. The amber LED's have made the side markers much more noticeable and the white LED's have transformed the previously dull orange glow into a modern white light. Very happy with them.

The corners needed filing slightly because the square edge made it difficult to push the LED one in but easily done and works great.

Bought these as one of my reg bulbs had blown. I have LED for the rest of the car, so it made sense to replace these bulbs with LED. After swapping out the blown bulb, the difference with the original next to it is amazing, the new one is crisper and so much clearer.
Definitely worth the money.
Advantages: Clear bright light, should last a long time.
Disadvantages: A bit tight in the bulb holder, but seem to have stayed in place, so far.

Bought these in white for interior lights and amber for floor mirror indicators. All worked well and very bright. Not sure the Canbus compatibility adds much as interior bulb failures in Fords do not trigger warnings and didn’t have any issues with the wing mirror repeaters, which again do not trigger warnings or hyperflash when only they fail.
Advantages: Nice bright bulbs that certainly do the trick.
Disadvantages: Would prefer the bulbs to be more silvery in colour and maybe a white circuit boards or something to height the chips to help hide them when they are fitted to clear indicator lenses.

Another great product from Twenty20 / ABD. Fitted perfectly and work nicely. Clean white light, No blue. Sadly not as good as the previous offering in terms of brightness (501CRCANW-1) but highly recommended.
Advantages: Excellent price, Great fitment, No errors and white light.
Disadvantages: A slight step backwards to the previous 501 offering but i wouldn't hesitate to always use Twenty20 for OEM looking and performing LED's.
