This score indicates how well this product performs against a vehicle's CANBus warning system.
9/10 means that this product will work for most vehicles however there is always a chance a warning error will still appear.
Most modern cars today use a system to continuously detect faults – known as CAN-Bus. These bulbs are CAN-Bus enabled and will eliminate those annoying warning lights when your car thinks it has a faulty bulb.
Cree is the Rolls Royce of LED technology recognised the world over. Most major manufacturers of LED products use Cree LEDs. This particular bulb uses 6 Cree LEDs and gives off 360 degrees of light.
Although your vehicle battery is used for all the electrics any saving in power has to be a good thing. These bulbs will give a greater light output (750 Lumens) than the standard bulb (300-400 Lumens) but use much less power - a win win!

Oh yes, a vast improvement.
Advantages: Best thing about these bulbs is that it’s either on or off, without a lethargic delay you get from filament bulbs. You notice people see you and react instantly when you hit the indicator, especially when you’re in a roundabout.
Disadvantages: None I can think of. It’s a win win situation if you don’t mind forking out the cash. LED bulbs are a lot more expensive and really, they are for sado enthusiasts like me. Most really don’t care but if you’re driving an older car, it does modernise the look and makes you feel good. Life too short

These were recommended for my Kia Sedona, however after installing, not only do they hyperflash, they are only suitable for off road use which wasn't mentioned in the specifications at time of purchase. OFF ROAD USE is written on the box but hardly noticeable.

Disadvantages: Not road legal. Hyperflashing. Recommended by ABD but unsuitable. Waste of time and money!

It is hyperflashing on my Honda Civic Hatchback 2014. Due to the space constraint, I am unable to install a load resistor. Also to add a load resistor would make this product quite pricey.
100% would not recommend until Twenty20 comes out with anti-hyper flashing in this same chrome configuration.
Advantages: The amber tone is extremely pleasant.
Disadvantages: Causes Hyper flashing

Absolutely gutted. Fitted these to a 2015 Ford Focus front and rear indicators and stupidly only tested them with the hazard switch. They flashed perfectly, where nice and bright and did not hyperflash so threw away the packaging. A few days later when out for a drive the first time I had to indicate they triggered hyperflashing…..doh !!. It seems Ford only monitor bulb outages when indicating on the move and do not hyperflash with the hazard lights (I guess a safety feature).
Either way I am left with four bulbs that are not compatible with my car. I am reluctant to fit resistors and cannot find a way to disable the bulb out warning (hyperflash) in the BCM (using Forscan software).
I know Twenty20 make a larger hyperflash friendly bulb but this is way too bright for the car and does not fit in my front units.
Really hope Twenty20 can come up with a new hyperflash solving bulb that is similar in size, look and lumens to this one (no more than 1000 lumins for road use).
Advantages: Size, nice bright road safe output and colour.
Disadvantages: Definitely not compatible with Fords hyperflash bulb warning so will need additional resistors or BCM re-programming….assuming this is possible.
Our Reply: Sorry to hear of this. We would be happy to exchange these for the 581 Twenty20 HF0 bulbs which are specifically designed not to hyperflash.

Unfortunately I cannot give these bulbs any higher rating than a 2 because these failed to work on my Ford Galaxy 2013. No error messages but indicators would flash too fast.
However, I would give ABD 5** for the support and service

Our Reply: Unfortunately hyper flashing is a different issue to the canbus error messages. While these do work on most cars without hyper flashing, there are some where it will still happen. In these instances we recommend the dedicated Twenty20 HF0 anti hyperflash range which will definitely work without issue.

Nice orange light and not too bright to dazzle at night, and not so dim so that they can't be seen in daylight/bight sunlight.
The ABD website gave them a "CANBUS SCORE 9/10" which was encouraging and my main reason for ordering them, however, when the lamps were fitted, not only did I get a bulb-out Canbus error/warning, I also had hyper-flashing from these LEDs too, which is the only time this has happened to me in the 3 years since I bought my car! Luckily I had a couple of 50W/6Ohm resistors which cured these issues, but this was a real hassle!
The under-bonnet space in my car is at a premium, and fitting these resistors to an accessible metal surface, which should have been maybe a 15-minute job, took over an hour and a half!
This also negates any power/fuel savings as the resistors cancel-out the lower power requirements which the LEDs on their own would have provided.
If I'd known I'd have had to fit resistors I wouldn't have bothered, and the returns procedure is simply too much hassle to send them back
Advantages: Umm....
Disadvantages: Canbus errors, hyper-flashing and requiring resistors to work.
Our Reply: Unfortunately the 9/10 score still means 1/10 vehicles may still experience canbus errors. In this instance we would recommend the Twenty20 HF0 anti hyper flash range which would solve both the canbus and hyper flash issues you're experiencing.

Fitted to My Skoda Octavia 2.0ltr L&K rear indicators. Big improvement in brightness with no errors. very pleased with the bulbs and service. I was mildly disappointed that these two bulbs plus the two reversing light bulbs, ordered at the same time, were all put in a plastic tube that allowed them to rattle around and bang against each other. I would have thought that, if these are usually sent loose, some form of packling could have been used to prevent them moving around. No damage occured but the packing could still have been better, IMO.

Received these bulbs in 4 days from order. Unfortunately despite being described as Canbus compatible they triggered a bulb out warning on my Jaguar XF. The light fitting on the car sadly cannot accommodate a resistor so I have unfortunately had to return the bulbs.

Great upgrade from stock halogen bulbs, much brighter and more colourful. Worked right away with no coding, flickering or warning lights.
Advantages: Much brighter and alerts other road users more, nicer colour than stock halogen bulbs, last longer, use less power, win win.
Disadvantages: Packaging could be better mine didn't come in the tubes like in the pic advertised and it said nothing about what type of bulb it was. ie 581 PY21W etc which when you've ordered a couple of different fitments for other areas of the car is a bit of a pain as you can't tell which is which without taking them all out the packet.

These LED units were purchased to replace orange lacquered indicator light bulbs to overcome the problem of losing the orange colour, causing the indicators to become white and fail the MoT.
Advantages: Remain orange, do not cause a light bulb warning failure to appear, operate at the correct indicator frequency, all as a direct drop in replacement.
Disadvantages: More expensive than filament light bulbs, but solves many problems..

I had tried several led bulbs from different companies who claimed their bulbs were error free when upgrading from normal bulbs all of which had errors. Then i happened to find Autobulbsdirect, excellent products and exceptional customer service, they really go above and beyond to make sure the customer is happy.
Advantages: Every other led indicator bulb i tried all came with the same problem, hyperflashing, these companies then wanted to sell me other resistors etc, but these bulbs from ABD have everything already within the bulbs, result, no hyperflashing. Dont try any other company for led bulbs, get from ABD, you wont be disappointed.
