AN EXPENSIVE DISAPPOINTMENT ! I BOUGHT THESE BULBE TO REPLACE THE TWENTY20 DAYLIGHT 200 BULBS IN MY MAIN BEAM LIGHTS AND PUT THE 20/20"s IN THE LOW BEAM UNITS. MOVING THE 20/20"s HAVE MADE A NOTICEABLE IMPROVEMENT TO MY LOW BEAM LIGHTING, BUT I NOW WISH THAT I HAD JUST PURCHASED ANOTHER SET OF THE TWENTY20 BULBS INSTEAD, TO HAVE THEM IN BOTH LIGHT UNITS.
THE PHILIPS GT200 BULBS ARE NOT NOTICEABLY REALLY VERY BRIGHT AS ADVERTISED, AND THERE IS VERY LITTLE BEAM DEFINITION AT
DISTANCE.
Advantages: NONE !!
Disadvantages: A WASTE OF MONEY AND DISAPPOINTING RESULTS

I have used Phillips upgrade bulbs in +130 and +150 ratings to very good effect on a few cars. These went into my new 'toy', a Golf mk.6 to upgrade the DIP beam. Access was very limited but well worth the effort.
Advantages: I was expecting a further improvement and was NOT disappointed. These +200 bulbs give very good illumination on motorways, especially the unlit sections. Extra beam length and kerb/lane illumination is safer and you don't need Main Beam at all. On country roads the benefit is even greater - you see further, with clearer detail in foreground and distance and thereby avoiding potholes etc. Order was well packed and arrived within 24hours of ordering = Thank You. Currently, very impressed with these +200 bulbs
Disadvantages: No disadvantages as yet. No oncoming vehicle has flashed/complained at these bright +200 Dip bulbs. Time will tell if their lifetime is as good as previous upgrade bulbs I've used. I hope they last well.

Bought a used Mercedes SLK lights were ok non full beam but poor on dip swapped bulbs (difficult on an SLK) and these were great transformed driving at night no longer a struggle to see the verge when oncoming cars approached excellent product!

Rackn Philips GT200. H7 Bulbs, are about the same brightness as the Osram 150 & Ring 150. With one slight difference the coverage is much better this may be due to its chrome like cap but the result is definitely a better spread of light across the road. Mind they must be aligned more carefully especially the O/S lamp. These have a warm white appearance, but especially good for rural roads.
Advantages: Much better spread of light
Warm white appearance great for winter and rural roads.
Not stressing switches and relays at 55w.
Disadvantages: Check lamp alignment, to high will attract the law especially the O/S lamp.
Not as white as LED lamps but still 55w.

The bulbs are supplied in a blister pack that is very tough and tricky to open, but they are suspended neatly, in an easy to remove mount. After installing into my wife’s Mazda 2 and waiting for darkness, we both agreed that they were an improvement over the existing (pretty much standard) bulb - but not anywhere near as good as we had hoped. The headlight units on the 10 year old Mazda are poor - even after cleaning them and getting rid of all of the nasty deposit that had built up on the polycarbonate lens over time.
Advantages: Slight improvement in light level
Disadvantages: Quite expensive, considering the limited improvement.

Was hoping for great things of these bulbs when compared to the standard bulbs in my 2008 VW Passat. There improvement was only marginal. The immediate light in front of car was a little brighter however the range of the spread of light had not improved at all. I was disappointed as I had based my choice on favouring brightness & range above all else. ABD emailed me to say that perhaps the lense design of headlight on dipped beam compromised said bulbs performance. That is probably logically so, however the bulbs brightness was not a vast improvement over standard either. A little salty taking into account the cost of the bulbs and their compromised lifespan when compared to the basic bulb price and their associated performance.
Advantages: Marginal increase in brightness
Disadvantages: Cost, lack in improvement of brightness and light spread (dipped beam in Passat 2008) and much shorter life span (only 200 hours!)

Excellent! I had run the older +150% version for a couple of years - these are a definite step up.
One small tip having seen several whines about upgrade lights not being better.....make sure your lights are pointing in the EXACT manufacturer's setting (rather than just passing the MOT!!!) BEFORE you add the upgrade bulbs.
Advantages: Better vision in general, but specially in the wet.
Disadvantages: A bit pricey given the short warranty (6 months)
