Like front DRL's, I have my tail lights and No plate lights on all the time the front DRL's are on.
The bulb holders tend to cake up after 3 years or so. So I just clean the contacts of the bulb holder.
The bulbs are still working but, as they are priced good I change them at the same time.
Advantages: I have never had one of this make of bulb blow. I just change them every 3-4 years.
Disadvantages: I hate doing surveys.

I did a search on long lasting 501 side light bulb for my motorcycle and these came up. I wanted something that was going last for a long time as they are not easy to change and I want to be able to leave them in for as long as I can. I have tried LED and they do not last long enough. I ordered these from here ABD and they arrived in 2 days. The delivery also came with tracking. Which was nice. Well, they worked so so far so good. Shame that we haven't considered packaging and single use plastics. These are a regular use glovebox item (or should be) so why not pack in 4's or even 6's. The plastic then has a longer use. One piece of card and slightly more plastic. So overall less plastic and board per bulb. Please help the world with little things that cost nothing.

Very yellow for 'style' bulbs. Was hoping they'd be more white than OEM. But they're just as bad.
Our Reply: These bulbs are not styling bulbs in any way. They are long life bulbs and as such will emit the same colour output as a standard 501. The benefit of these are that they will last significantly longer than a standard bulb.

Super, I looked on YouTube to see how to replace my Astra rear numberplate light, decided I needed 2 Osram bulbs which arrived 48 hours later!

.........the garage quoted £30 to fix it for me.
