Osram VW Golf VII – Full LED Headlamps in Chrome

I've been looking for a way to add LED DRLs to my car after removing the H15 LED bulbs I' very been using for over two years with no problems, until I got pulled over by the police on the A47 near Norwich, for dazzling the driver in his rear view mirror. Slapped wrist for me and halogens refitted. Still searching, I was surprised to come across these total headlight replacements for my 2015 mk7 VW Golf and even more surprised at the price, although the 20% discount could not be ignored. I decided to go for it and the lights arrived within 48hours, which was impressive. My local garage refused to fit them ,citing liability concerns, so I found a local customisation specialist who was happy to do the job. Full marks to Coastal Motorsport of North Walsham. I told the owner Tom what another reviewer had said about the fitment not being a DIY job and printed out the review which mentioned running an extra wire direct to the battery. When the job was done, the owner said he'd had no problems and that the new lights were "a vast improvement". They work really well and I am delighted.

Advantages: Brilliant lights especially the DRLs. The funky travelling indicators look great too.

Disadvantages: The cost, just hope the car lasts a few more years and sails through its MoT each year.

Very good product,well made and easy to install. Plug and play to existing wiring. Excellent light beams.

The garage that fitted the lights for me were very impressed by the look and quality. ‘Seriously good kit’ they said, very powerful and at a good price. Drove last night for the first time and they’re better than halogen on the unlit country roads, but perhaps not quite so so noticeable in the town, although they do pick out road signs very well.

Purchased and fitted these. ABD sent the wrong part initially, However, they were superb at fixing the error immediately. As business consultant, I understand companies making errors, it is how they deal with these that counts. So I give them 5 stars.
The lights are very good quality and work well. The ABD installation video is INCORRECT, there is no information regarding how to route the battery wires - this is crucial as there are few (one?) route that works sensibly. Advantages: Better light cut off and brightness. The adjustment for the lights (up/down, left/right) is incorporated in the design. EXCEPT that the instructions and video do not cover this at all! These adjustments work very well, so there is no need to play with the main adjustments on the rear and side FIXINGS. I suggest that before fitting, you current light pattern is drawn on a wall or garage door, so that you can realign the new lights correctly and easily.

Disadvantages: These are NOT plug and play, they require some reasonable DIY experience for both vehicles and electrics. You will need to lengthen the OS light to battery lead as it needs to go via the front valence in front of the radiator where there is a space for it, (my vehicle already had one wire here). I shortened the other wire also, so that they made a neat connection to the battery, routing them together and attaching them to the original loom and up to the battery. They have an inline fuse. so battery attachment is ok, some people have mentioned attaching to fuse box, but the battery is better as it does not compromise the fuse compartment waterproof connections.

Great headlights, easy to fit following instructions- just need to find somewhere to align them.

Disadvantages: Seems to sit a bit lower than original/there’s a slightly larger gap between the bonnet and light, larger than the thickness of seal on the underside of the bonnet.

Absolutely brilliant, they change the look of the car so much, in a better way obviously. I had LED fitted before, pretty good, but the light on this units is so beautiful, DRL beautiful too and they are road legal so i don’t have to change the bulbs and all that before an MOT, I wish I bought them earlier, planned this for a while but I wasn’t sure if they worth the money. Definitely one of my best investments in a car.

Advantages: Bright and clean look, it’s all an advantage with them

Disadvantages: Not sure if I’m right but I’ve read online that once they break, I mean the LED or what has got inside it cannot be replaced or repaired, the whole unit has to be changed. Would like a bit more explanation on that or what can be done before buying them.

Look great on the car, really bring it up to date , massive difference in light from headlights.

What a great transformation.These headlights are the business no more yellow halogen crap pure white LED SO MUCH BETTER and PLUG AND PLAY so simple took me 2 hours total to fit totally amazing..,.

Advantages: Better visibility day & night
Gives the car a fresh new look
Adds value to your car because everybody loves LED .

Disadvantages: None

Great improvement over stock halogens
Easy to fit with plenty of adjustment to get the aim correct
You don’t need to remove complete front bumper,just pop the sides
Looks great ,very happy with purchase
